When Push Comes to Shove

It started out so innocently...

It started out so innocently…

This story is from Brittany, a 26-year-old med student in Chicago, as told to Raz:

When I was a freshman in high school, I had my first very kiss with Tyler, who went to another school. We started seeing each other, and I really liked him. (I mean, I had never kissed anyone before, so this was very exciting.) But every time we started to make out, he would push my head down. He kept trying to make my poor 14-year-old self go down on him! I was not ready for that, but I was always able to wiggle my way out of the situation. Then, after many a make out (and zero blow jobs), I found out he was double teaming me—he was also dating a girl from his school. This was just not OK, but he didn’t seem to think it was a problem. I told him he had to choose between us. His response: “Well, I really like you…but she gives me head.” That was the end of that relationship.

Fast-forward five years. I was in college and had recently broken up with a boyfriend. Tyler found me on Facebook and we started chatting. Eventually, he asked me out on a date. I figured he’d probably matured since high school, so I gave him a chance.

We went out and were having a great time, so I decided to confront him about what a dick he’d been back in the day. “You know, there’s something I need to get off my chest,” I started. “You were my first kiss.”

“Oh, I had no idea. That’s so cute,” he smiled.

But I wasn’t done: “I hate to bring this up, but you really pressured me to go down on you. What was up with that?”

He immediately went bright red and profusely apologized for his disgusting and horny 14-year-old actions. I felt like a weight had been lifted. He had matured.

So we continued to go on a few dates, and eventually started hooking up. And to my horror, this boy actually pushed my head down. AGAIN. 5 YEARS LATER! After I told him how much it pissed me off the first time!!!

Instead of freaking out, I kept my cool and coyly said, “Maybe me first?”

He went down on me. I said, “Thank you,” and he waited. I got up, got dressed and said goodbye. That was our last date, and I think he got what he deserved.
